Application process for removing your home address from the Public Register (SR01)
From 27Β January 2025, you can submit an application to remove your home address, or part of it, from the public register at Companies House under section 1088. This application is available for individuals who are or have been:
- Company officers
- Persons with significant control (PSC)
- Subscribers or members of a company, limited liability partnership (LLP), societas Europaea (SE), or eligible Scottish partnership
- Officers or permanent representatives of an overseas company
Before applying, you must identify which documents contain your home address. You can do this by checking the companyβs entry in the Companies House register. Note that you cannot remove a registered office from the public register, even if it was or is your home address.
The application can also be used to suppress residential addresses held on the public register for dissolved companies.
To submit your SR01 application, you must pay a fee of Β£30 for each document listed in your application. After completing the payment, you will receive a payment reference number, which must be included with your SR01 application.
The fastest way to submit your SR01 application is by emailing a digital copy toΒ dsr@companieshouse.gov.uk. If you fail to include the payment reference in your email, your application will be rejected. If you prefer to send your application by post, you can do so along with a cheque or postal order. However, please be aware that processing paper applications takes significantly longer.
